Any surgical or invasive procedure carries risks. Before proceeding with a surgical or invasive procedure, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.
Veneers are thin sheets of porcelain that are fixed to the outwardly visible portion of your tooth and are designed to correct a range of dental imperfections giving you the smile you've always wanted.
With veneers, we can change colour, shape, and size and length as well as close gaps between teeth, straighten teeth and fix chipped teeth. Relatively little of your original tooth structure needs to be removed with the procedure requiring three painless visits.
The first visit is used to prepare the teeth. A local anaesthetic is given to eliminate any sensitivity. Impressions of the prepared teeth are then taken and sent to the laboratory. You will be asked to visit the laboratory so the technician can see your teeth and accurately select the correct shade of the porcelain veneers. Temporary veneers may be created to protect your teeth while your veneers are being made. We then have a 'try in' to make sure you are happy with the look of your teeth. The final visit is to insert the handcrafted porcelain veneers.
